Thee Scarecrows AKA Describing their musical influences as ranging “from blues, metal, rock n roll, trash, hillbilly, psychobilly, punk and glam rock”, Thee Scarecrows say that “Everything gets thrown into the melting pot, cooked up, stirred around and then served up with a bit of hot sauce.” Countrybilly, psychobilly, punkabilly, rock, hillbilly, speed blues? The answer is yes to all of those – and more. Playing rock ‘n’ roll with a double shot of SKA - They’ll mix their original songs with their own take of tunes by the likes of The Cramps, Johnny Cash, Toots & The Maytalls and others….. the best advice we can give is to bring your dancing shoes! The Bleeders Many words have been used to describe Glasgow’s The Bleeders (erm – including the phrase “meme rock” ???) – sensible is not one of them. A brilliant live act who have evolved from a two piece to three piece band and who are definitely not to be missed. Corrupt Intentions Another band who are not to be missed – and who are equally hard to stick in a pigeon-hole. Their first demo, recorded this year, has been described as ska-punk-psychobilly-hardcore. Just make sure you get there early and make up your own mind how to describe them.
